Lasting Finish Matte By Kate Moss 103

With my busy school life coming to an end and the holidays starting I thought for sure i'd have all the time in the world to put into this blog but I was so wrong! As it's my last holidays between school years (Year 11 and 12) I've been making the most of not having any school work to complete! I've just got back from a holiday (Post coming) and have been spending all my spare time catching up with friends and family, but now its time to actually post something!

Rimmel's line of lipsticks by Kate Moss are incredible. There are so many amazing colour and such great quality, especially for a drugstore product. My newest purchase to add to my own collection is Lasting Finish Matte By Kate Moss in the shade 103.

$5.49 US  $12.95 AU £5.49

This line from Rimmel has price range of somewhere around $5.49  in the States, $12.95 in Australia and £5.49  in the UK. However I know the price can change from store to store, i've seen them sold in Australia for as little as 5 dollars.

In it's tube it looks almost the same colour as my lips, something I would describe to be a 'My lips but better' colour, essentially it is a typical pretty pink neutral shade, something that would be flattering on almost everyone and definitely one of to the safer choices from the collection! When applied however it looks more pink than what it does in the tube. It's a beautiful shade for daytime and nighttime, I usually wear it during the day but I like it just as much at night.

This lipstick stays on the lips all day long and requires minimal fuss! Only ever needing a retouch after meals. It glides on smoothly, is heavily pigmented and isn't at all patchy with flawless high-end look to it.

These lipsticks have a very creamy and smooth formulation with a really sweet smell. Personally I enjoy its scent but to some I have heard it turns them off the entire lipstick range. However the smell is only noticeable when you smell the tube and once applied it isn't at all noticeable.

The only slightly negative thing I can think to mention about this lipstick is that it does tend to be a little bit drying, but i've yet to come across any matte lipstick that isn't. However, prepping your lips with a moisturising lip balm beforehand will definitely help and it's hardly noticeable when you do.

Wow that feels like a lot to say about one lipstick!

Thanks for reading.

Beauty Essentials' Clean Gentle Eye Make Up Remover/Brush Cleaner

They say there is a first time for everything and I guess that's exactly right, so here it goes... My very first blog post!

As an eye make up remover, Beauty Essentials' Clean Gentle Eye Make Up Remover manages to get the job done relatively well, so long as it's given a little bit of extra help, but as a brush cleaner... it's just right!

Now, I wouldn't recommend you use this as an actual brush cleaner, more so for in between cleaning. Personally, I prefer to use this to 'spot-clean' a brush that i'm currently using to change to another product within the same look and without the pervious product transferring (You can't tell me this hasn’t happened to you whilst trying to perfect that black smokey eye at least once, I know I can't). All I do is put a dash (Or 2 depending on your brush size) on either the palm of my hand or a piece of cloth and swirl the brush around until it is clean... for me I have actually found using your hand over cloth works better. However, make sure you have a clean hand before you do this because you don't want any bacteria from your hand getting on your brush. Both methods work perfectly and both dry almost instantly as you only need to use a small amount of it for it to work.

As it is a make-up remover this probably isn't a good thing to be using on your brushes all the time, especially those expensive ones! But, it definitely is a cheaper option than some other brands that we all know, love and rave about. So for $4.99 why not give it a go, you really can't go wrong!

Thanks for reading.
Much love xx
